At The Relational Center, I have gained incredible experience as a Social Worker and the Development Director and there's honestly no place I'd rather call home. The community is vibrant, diverse, and empathic with a beautifully strong stance in social justice at our core.

Our members pay as low as $7 a session for access to weekly counseling plus unlimited access to support groups, wellness classes like trauma-informed yoga, social clubs and events, and now with our current climate we are able to serve a wider audience virtually. The immense loss and isolation people have experienced through the pandemic has added an urgency to our services. We have increased our services over 40% throughout the pandemic, with no increase in funding, that is why your support is vital. We want EVERYONE to be able to have community and healing now more than ever.

In 2021, we have been doing exciting work with new partnerships. We are providing counseling to those who have experienced the atrocities at our Southern border seeking asylum through Immigrant Defenders Law Center. Additionally, we are working with ChildHelp to give counseling and resources to those who have aged out of the foster care system. I am deeply proud of these partnerships and look forward to expanding this powerful work with these organizations and others. 

The Relational Center is here to help people take steps out of disconnection and into community. We need restored communities that demonstrate the power of connections to create health. We need spaces like The Relational Center for people to deepen empathy, support one another, and share responsibility for the wellbeing of all.

With all these free and low-fee resources, you might be wondering how The Relational Center stays afloat!? The answer is through the generosity of people like YOU who share our values and mission. What we do is too radical for most grant funders because of our incredible social justice stance, so we rely almost entirely on private donors. Please donate however much you can in order to keep this valuable community resource and therapist training center going. Around 75% of the population we serve are at or below the poverty line, they need YOU!
