To my friends and family,

I wanted to start off by acknowledging how much needs to change to make our world a more just and safe place for all human beings from all different walks of life. While it will take a serious amount of interdependent collaboration to make that happen, in my little world, I see ripples of hope for the future through The Relational Center. The amount of educating they do, their radically compassionte and systems oriented approach to mental health rooted in social justice values changes the story of what it means to be human. And stories shape our culture. They shape the way we think, engage, interact, and co-exist. I have had my mind transformed from the inside out with this approach, recovering from an eating disorder, seeing the value in community that operates from an authentic, relational, and trauma-informed lens, and finding ways to breathe more deeply in my own life and feel safe and empowered in a world that tells us we are meant to be competitive and isolated.

I see my clients transform from this approach too, often telling me they had no idea that a therapy like this existed (the kind The Relational Center trains you in) and how much more deeply they are healing - (we work via a strengths-based, trauma-sensitive, choice-oriented, collaborative approach).
