Hello Family and Friends,

As a long time Board Member and current President of the Board of Directors for the Relational Center, I am reaching out for your support. This organization is near and dear to my heart, and provides critical and unique programming to support individuals, families and communities through counseling, workshops and support. The Relational Center exists to promote the essential importance of relationships. When we value our connections with others and with the environment, we create the necessary conditions for health and sustainability. So our work promotes personal, interpersonal, and social practices that help people build strong, resilient relationships. Our programs provide healing support, a space for community building, and tools for leadership.

When facing challenging times, from illness, job changes, loss, financial hardship, aging, and the list goes on, it is so important to connect to family, friends, and communities that can support us....I know in the past I have withdrawn from my support systems because of shame,  a fear of overburdening those around me, or because there is not enought time in the day.  For me, I realized that my relationships, and community are just as critical as any other priority, and they heal and nurish me to face adversities.  At the Relational Center.....relationships are primary. Through counseling, groups, training, and leadership development we work to provide our community with the tools and support to value, build and invest in relationships that are so important to our health!

Every year we host a year-end appeal that offers our supporters one last opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to The Relational Center before the end of the calendar year. Our goal for the 2018 year-end appeal is $30,000. These funds are critical for sustaining The Relational Center's community. With your support, we can continue to integrate individual healing and systemic cultural change through affordable comprehensive mental health services to low-income and marginalized folks.
