Help me promote The Relational Center's commitment to providing socially just counseling to combat oppression , by helping us meet our $30,000 year-end goal!

Please support the work that I've been engagin in for years at The Relational Center.  We specialize in working with and emboldening marginalized populations of individuals AND over 70% of our community members have annual incomes below the Federal Poverty Guideline.  This is important work, folks.  We need YOU and your friends to support us so that we can continue to provide these services.

The Relational Center exists to promote the essential importance of relationships. When we value our connections with others and with the environment, we create the necessary conditions for health and sustainability. So our work promotes personal, interpersonal, and social practices that help people build strong, resilient relationships. Connection is VITAL to our wellbeing. In the same way that we need food every day for our survival, we also need daily connection with others to sustain our health and prevent despair. When we don’t receive connection as often as we need, we become discouraged and lose hope.  Eventually we can end up settling for unsatisfying relationships that actually make us feel disconnected. We might even avoid connecting with people altogether. As much as 40% of our country reports feeling disconnected most of the time. When that’s our daily reality, research shows that it actually shortens our lifespans.

To live long and healthy lives, we need to learn how to improve the way we connect with each other. When we improve connections, we improve health. We need restored communities, such as The Relational Center that demonstrate the power of connections to create health. We need spaces like TRC where people can gather to deepen empathy, support one another, and share responsibility for the wellbeing of all. Our programs provide healing support, a space for community building, and tools for leadership.

As you might imagine, despite our large impact, this small, non-proft organization doesn't receive grant funding, and doesn't get much money from our client community-members, as we are committed to providing services to many with few economic resources and reducing barriers to access. As a result, we rely almost entirely on donations from people who share our values and vision, like YOU!

This year i've proudly joined the TRC board and am passionate about helping this organization to continue it's integral work! I hope that you will join me in honoring many years of this incredible organization by making a contribution that supports the work we do and continues to further our reach.

As always, your generosity and support means so much to me.

xx Katy

ABOUT 2018 Year-End Appeal

Every year we host a year-end appeal that offers our supporters one last opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to The Relational Center before the end of the calendar year. Our goal for the 2018 year-end appeal is $30,000. These funds are critical for sustaining The Relational Center's community. With your support, we can continue to integrate individual healing and systemic cultural change through affordable comprehensive mental health services to low-income and marginalized folks. Help us build stronger, more empathic communities that can change the world!
