Hello, friends and family!

It's that time again! The time I ask you to give generously to support my work and my community at The Relational Center. Over the last two years, I've learned so much from the training and my colleagues and clients at The Relational Center. I'm so grateful that I get to give back, as therapist, as a coworker, and as a trainer for our newest cohort of trainees. I hope you'll join me in helping folks from all over greater Los Angeles access respectful, non-pathologizing therapy that acknowledges that oppression matters and people's issues aren't just "all in their head" is really, really hard to access.

At The Relational Center, we know that therapy is political. We believe that celebrating empathy and interdependence can be transformative in a culture fueled by marginalization and myths of meritocracy. We are always striving to learn more and be better and provide low-barrier options for people to access not only weekly therapy (individual and couples and family and group), but community activities like art groups, wellness services like meditation classes, a gathering space with a public computer and kitchen, and a lot more. Many of The Relational Center's members pay just $50 a month for access to ALL of the above. Because The Relational Center takes an unconventional approach to promoting mental health, it's not a big recipient of grant money, either! The Relational Center relies primarily on small donations to continue to serve the community. Please give whatever you can to support my clients, my values, my professional growth, and my community.

Every year we host a year-end appeal that offers our supporters one last opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to The Relational Center before the end of the calendar year. Our goal for the 2018 year-end appeal is $30,000. These funds are critical for sustaining The Relational Center's community. With your support, we can continue to integrate individual healing and systemic cultural change through affordable comprehensive mental health services to low-income and marginalized folks.
