As many of you know, I recently became an associate clinical social worker. My journey into the field of mental health brought me to The Relational Center (TRC), an organization that covers a lot of ground, offering sliding-scale individual counseling and clinical training for psychotherapists and social workers, while providing a space for mission-driven change makers to promote civic engagement and leadership and systemic culture change towards empathy, access, and care for all. TRC believes that mutually supportive relationships are a human need, bridging the gap between social advocacy and holistic wellness, radical inclusion, political activism, and an uncompormising social justice perspective.

TRC offers low-cost and high quality healing services that are somatic and mindfulness-based, trauma-sensitive, and compassion-oriented. It is with deep gratitude that I get to say that this is the community I am a part of now as a counselor-in-residence.

And beyond the scope of what I just described, TRC also offers weekly trainings for practicing pyschotherapists and counselors, clinical supervision, educational offerings, yoga, and more.

The typical cost of any single one of these services in Los Angeles is one to two month's worth of unlimited services at TRC.

Needless to say, holistic wellness services are typically VERY expensive. At TRC, I finally found a holistic community wellness center that combats social injustice, isolation, and disease while providing high quality training and offerings in somatic and awareness-based healing. This is extremely rare, which is why I write this to ask you to help our cause.

As a nonprofit organization, asking for help is the ONLY thing that keeps our doors open. Every year we host a year-end appeal that offers our supporters one last opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to The Relational Center before the end of the calendar year. By making a donation of $25, $50, or $100, you can help us reach our 2019 goal of $35,000 before midnight on December 31st.

With your support, we can continue to provide counseling, advocate for social justice, and build more empathic communities. Even the smallest donation helps.
