Dear Friends and Family,

Yes, it's that time of year again.  The time when I ask you for money to support The Relational Center.  I've been involved with TRC for over 10 years now and it is one of the best parts of my life.  I was trained and mentored at TRC by Mark Fairfield, Jami Winkel and others and that experience had a huge impact on me not only as a clinician, but as a human.  Now I'm training and mentoring the next generation of aspiring therapists which is such a rewarding experience.  I still work my day job and becoming a full-time therapist may not be something I do until I retire, but being able to contribute to this community means the world to me.  I am forever grateful to TRC, not only for giving me great training and leadership opportunities, but also for introducing me to some of the most amazing people I have had the pleasure of knowing.  That's why TRC is so important to me, but it's not important to just me.  It's also important to all the people we are able to help through counseling, groups, classes and more.  Most of our members fall below the federal poverty line and could not afford access to this type of care if it wasn't for TRC.  Things like counseling, yoga, meditation are often luxury goods, accessible to only the few.  TRC provides sliding-scale access, based on ability to pay. That is why I hope you will join me in giving to TRC during our year-end appeal. 

Every year we host a year-end appeal that offers our supporters one last opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to The Relational Center before the end of the calendar year. Our goal for the 2018 year-end appeal is $30,000. These funds are critical for sustaining The Relational Center's community. With your support, we can continue to integrate individual healing and systemic cultural change through affordable comprehensive mental health services to low-income and marginalized folks. Help us build stronger, more empathic communities that can change the world!
