As a part of my clinical training, for the last four years I have been working with The Relational Center, a nonprofit organization committed to affordable wellness and counseling services. I couldn't have asked to find a more meaningful place to begin my work as a psychotherapist. We survive on a shoestring, do terrific work providing nearly-free mental health services, and are tax deductible. Our clients are from a largely marginalized population: people of color, LGBTQ, teens. These are tough times; any amount makes a difference. Every year we host a year-end appeal that offers our supporters one last opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to The Relational Center before the end of the calendar year. Our goal for the 2018 year-end appeal is $30,000.
